Interactive Ties Releases Hebrew Reminders Application for Salesforce
February 15th, 2009
I was recently contacted by a consulting partner of a non profit organization, which happens to use Salesforce as their CRM application. The conversation focused on the various birthday reminder applications we built as sidebar components and made available for free on the AppExchange. They were looking for a similar component that would alert their particular users of approaching Hebrew dates. Basically, they wanted the application to allow entry of Hebrew dates using the Hebrew calendar as a basis of entry and then convert those dates to Gregorian calendar dates each year so that the reminders could apply to their day-to-day use of the application but allow for visibility to the Hebrew date.
It turns out that the conversion of Hebrew dates to Gregorian dates and back again is somewhat complicated. And we decided that we would package this solution up and make it available to others via the AppExchange. Hopefully, the price tag for the solution is just right for any other non-profit or company looking to be reminded of important Hebrew dates while they use Salesforce. Feel free to install the application for a trial period prior to purchase and, as always, you can contact me directly with any questions or concerns. -greg
