The Links Tab enables a logical organization of links based on categories which can be tailored to groups of Salesforce Users based on Profile. This capability allows for categories and links to be tailored to specific users based on business requirements.

There's no need to worry about subscription fees when you enable the Links tab. Pricing is based on the organization not the Users and is a one-time flat fee for the currently available version.
